Blue Phantom ultrasound training model for foreign body identification

Excellent for training clinicians in techniques associated with ultrasound-guided foreign body identification, targeting, and removal. Blue Phantom’s foreign body identification ultrasound training model allows users to develop and practice the psychomotor skills necessary to attain proficiency in ultrasound use. Ultrasound skills trained include: using ultrasound system controls, transducer positioning and movement, recognizing a wide range of foreign bodies in soft tissue, targeting the foreign bodies, and eventual removal.

This ultrasound phantom is made from Blue Phantom’s patented ultra-durable tissue and is extremely realistic in ultrasound characteristics and feels like real human tissue. The training model contains a wide variety of foreign bodies distributed in the model at various depths and positions, including: metal projectile BBs, metallic shrapnel fragments, wood splinters, metal needles, large glass fragments, and glass shards.

The model works well with all ultrasound systems with appropriate transducer (recommended: high-frequency linear array ultrasound probe 7.5–15 MHz). Excellent for specialties such as emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound training programs, and medical education facilities.
