Trainer for wound care and bandaging techniques

With the Wound Care and Bandaging Techniques Trainer, students learn how to care for their patients' wounds and can practice a wide range of bandaging and dressing techniques. Through training, the subsequent care of real patients can be significantly improved and hygiene standards and protocols can be adhered to.

The following wounds and drainage systems resulting from surgical procedures and injuries are realistically displayed on the upper body:

- Wound after a thyroidectomy, center
- Wound after a sternotomy (with drainage), center
- Wound after a mastectomy (with drainage), right
- Wound after a splenectomy (with drainage), left
- Wound after a thoracotomy (pneumonectomy), right
- Wounds after a median laparotomy (e.g. cystectomy), center
- Wounds after an appendectomy, not
- Wounds after a Pfannenstiel incision (e.g. C-section or abdominal hysterectomy), center
- Wound after a laminectomy, center; posterior
- Wounds after a nephrectomy (side incision)
- Wound after an amputation (leg stump), left
- Colostomy
- Decubitus (class 2), center; posterior

Wound care can be performed using normal means, allowing the student to practice in a scenario as close to reality as possible. Due to the flexible structure of the material used, students can practice applying and changing bandages and dressings under realistic conditions.
