C-Celia - simulator for handling emergency hysterectomy after cesarean section

C-Celia - simulator for handling emergency hysterectomy after cesarean section

This simulator enables training in emergency hysterectomy after cesarean delivery.
Each uterus can be used for 10 procedures with an incredibly realistic “hands-in” experience. The materials used are lifelike – no hard plastic – robust, and easy to clean after use.

The emergency hysterectomy simulator includes:

  • Open abdomen (transverse incision) simulator is used for training in hemostasis and emergency hysterectomy
  • Lifelike anatomy allows for realistic training. The simulator includes the uterus, urinary bladder, ureters and a correct representation of the uterine arteries.
  • Realistic bleeding with integrated pressure-based container for artificial blood

When an emergency hysterectomy is necessary, the obstetric team (obstetrician, midwife, operating room nurse) must be able to work together quickly and effectively. With this lifelike simulator, the team can train who-does-what according to the current protocol to quickly and efficiently complete the operation optimally.

The simulator includes :

  • Open abdomen after cesarean section
  • Ten uteri
  • Lubricating gel
  • Artificial blood

The following C-Celia and RealMom overview shows the areas of application for the individual simulators.
