The affordable P102 Bleeding Control Arm Trainer from 3B Scientific is the perfect solution for realistic training in bleeding control and management of traumatic injuries to the arm. Trainees gain confidence in managing severe bleeding using tourniquets and wound packing.
The arm is equipped with three different wound patterns:
- Deep cut or stab wound (5 cm)
- Large caliber gunshot wound through and through (GSW)
- Clutch wound in the shoulder area
Instructor-controlled bleeding: the bleeding of each wound is controlled with a manual blood pump system that simulates venous or arterial pulsatile blood bleeding.
The trainer functions as a stand-alone simulator, but can also be carried by a volunteer for added realism and in field training using the bag's carrying strap. Bleeding can be realistically simulated, including direct feedback (hemorrhage stoppage) when the trainee successfully manages the bleeding.
Practice the following bleeding control procedures:
- Tourniquet application
- Wound packing including coupling wound
- XSTAT® (hemostatic device) application
Technical features of the bleeding control arm trainer P102:
- The trainer simulates a full arm of an adult male with a very realistic external anatomy
- The skin is made of SKINlike™ high-quality, robust silicone to simulate human skin and tissue haptics
- Has bony landmarks and tangible damage damaged in GSW
- Direct feedback: bleeding stops (mechanical occlusion of blood vessels) when the tourniquet is correctly applied (placement and closure)
- The application of the tourniquet can be done “high and close” or 5-8 cm (2”-3”) above the wound
- Each wound can be hidden with a dedicated cover to offer modular injury scenarios
- Each wound bleeds independently
- Designed for use in the field: robust construction, requires no batteries or external power
- Easy to clean and transport in carrying bag (included)
- Realistic inexpensive simulator for repetitive training
Bleeding system:
- Secure blood reservoir (2 liters) with manual blood pumping system that simulates venous or arterial pulsatile blood bleeding
- No backflow of blood to the reservoir during wound packing
- Contains 250 ml of artificial blood concentrate to produce 2 liters of blood
