SIMone's patented force feedback mechanism allows students to confidently learn and develop the skills needed to perform complex procedures. SIMone allows for the realistic practice of instrumental delivery - over and over again with little to no set-up time! The P80 is designed to allow for a new birth scenario to be initiated in less than 60 seconds.

SIMone Birth Simulator also trains students in:

SIMone is a model of a female abdomen with a vulva and ischial spine as features. Inside the simulator is a fetal head with sagittal suture and fontanelle for determining the position and approach of the head. The touchscreen monitor displays an accurate image of the fetal head position and rotation within the maternal pelvis. 3B Scientific's monitoring software provides information on the progress of labor and allows training in intervention both through the use of medication and the use of vacuum or forceps. A number of customized delivery scenarios are presented in the monitoring software, so that modified model-based training is possible. In addition, the cardiotocograph and partogram support the assessment and development of the delivery scenario. Administration of medication or amniotomy are interventions that can be used to achieve the necessary progress during labor.
