Male Catheter Simulator Pro

With the Male Catheter Simulator Pro, male bladder catheterization procedures can be realistically demonstrated, practiced and assessed. The genital organ is inserted into the holder and held in place with magnets. The material of the insert is soft and flexible: the foreskin is movable and the penis can be stretched. In this way, the student can practice all the necessary movements for catheterization (e.g. disinfection). The material provides a realistic feeling when the catheter is inserted and removed into the bladder with realistic resistance and insertion depths.

Direct learning:

When the catheter is inserted correctly, fluid will flow out just like a real patient. The catheter can also be checked through the transparent bladder at any time. The abdominal wall can be removed to better view the process.

Different levels of difficulty:

The male insert has three different levels of urethral narrowing that can be set. In the narrowest setting, catheterization is not possible, leading to the conclusion that a suprapubic catheter is necessary.

On the Pro version, a suprapubic catheter is already in place and the student can practice cleaning and caring for it with the trainer.

Note:

When catheterizing, we recommend using catheters with only one or two drainage holes facing each other. Both silicone and PVC catheters can be used. We recommend the following catheters:

- Urethral stricture “open” = 16 CH catheter or 14 CH balloon catheter
- Urethral stricture "partial stricture" = 14 CH catheter or 12 CH balloon catheter

Catheters with a curved tip should not be used!

Tip:

According to the guidelines for proper catheterization, even during simulation, lubricating gel (not included) should be placed in the urethra to ensure smooth insertion of the catheter. Alternatively, a lubricating gel can be placed on the tip of the catheter.
