Blue Phantom Replacement Tissue for Midscapular Thoracentesis Ultrasound Model

BluePhantom replacement tissue for the midscapular thoracentesis ultrasound training model is made from BluePhantom's ultra-durable and self-healing tissue. The tissue is extremely realistic in ultrasound images and feels like real human tissue – providing optimal training at a low cost of ownership. The replacement tissue is designed for use with our midscapular thoracentesis ultrasound training model (item no. BPTT2-1005).

Extremely realistic and ultra-durable self-healing tissue for optimal training

The model is excellent for helping clinicians achieve competency in ultrasound-guided identification and needle/catheter insertion in patients with pleural effusion for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes. The ultrasound tissue module contains all the structures necessary to effectively learn ultrasound-guided midscapular thoracentesis – including superficial chest wall tissue, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th ribs and intercostal spaces, pleural cavity with lung and atelectatic lung, diaphragm and upper splenic segment.

• The ultrasound tissue insert offers extremely realistic sonographic imaging characteristics and is designed for guiding needles and small catheters (18–21 gauge). Positive fluid flow provides feedback upon correct access to pleural effusion. Fluid is easily refilled via QuickFill luer lock or can be connected to an IV reservoir for continuous fluid delivery
