Blue Phantom Replacement Kidney for ultrasound-guided renal biopsy training model

Blue Phantom's ultrasound-guided replacement kidney for renal biopsy offers users extremely realistic sonographic imaging characteristics. The kidneys contain renal cortex, renal medulla, as well as major and minor calyces. Constructed with Blue Phantom's simulated tissue, which matches the acoustic properties of real human tissue – so you experience the same quality as when imaging patients in a clinical environment. The replacement kidney is designed for use with our Renal Biopsy Ultrasound Training Model P/N BPRB-2011.

Clinicians can perform two types of procedures on the model:
Core needle biopsy. Specialists using the model for core needle biopsy expect to remove tissue samples from the model. Removal of a core tissue sample leaves an air-filled cavity in the kidney corresponding to the size of the sample. Users can expect to remove up to 30 core biopsies before the kidney needs to be replaced (the kidney is easy to remove so the unused upper kidney can be rotated to the lower position).
Needle aspiration procedures. Specialists using the model for needle aspiration procedures can expect great utility using 18–21 gauge needles. Blue Phantom's patented self-healing ultra-durable tissue allows for repeated use. Best healing results are achieved with sharp, unbent needles.
